lyrics

I said daddy put the gun down
I know I’m sick, but I’ll be just fine.
He said son I’ll put you out of your misery,
All in all it’s just a matter of time.
He said son I love you know it kills me to
Stand aside and watch you dying.
Breathing in, close my eyes,
But I can hear him loading the gun.

Hole in the wall, hands are shakin’,
Warm sweat, so I know I’m still alive.
With our backs to the wall, we slid down holding hands,
Only god knows why we’ve burst in laugh.
He said you’re nothing but a sick dying body,
No, you’re not my son.
Breathing in, close my eyes,
But I can hear him loading the gun.

Now the wall is dirty dirty
With a big stain of daddy’s brain.
And for a second there I thought
It was me whose spared with all the mourn and pain.
Now there are many things
I don’t know about my daddy,
But as for his last words I have no doubt.
He said son, do me a favor, will ya?
Bury me with my hands out.

Now the Doctors don’t understand,
All of these years and I survive.
But it is clear to me as the deep blue sea,
What keeps me alive.
Every sunrise I go to the cemetery,
And as he hears me coming
He lends his hands to me.
Breathing in, hold his hand
And there’s a brand new day to live.

Daddy you didn’t die in vain,
I want you to know,
When god will come my route.
Next to you, I’ll be burried,
Next to you, with my hands out.
